Who is the video for, which benefit will it explain, and what can you show to support it? Answer those questions before writing the opening, demonstration and close. Every shot should tell the crew what to film, what the person does and what they say. Keep unsupported claims in a list of questions, outside the spoken script.

From product facts to a filming script

Gather reliable product information, study how a reference tells its story, then read and film a rough version to check the plan.

01

Choose the buyer and one main benefit

Pick a product variant, market and use case. Write the buyer’s question in one sentence, then identify product information or a demonstration that answers it. Save other benefits for separate videos instead of crowding them into one.

  • Gather the product page, specifications, instructions and a sample you can actually film.
  • Separate confirmed facts from open questions; date prices and offers and record where they apply.
  • Specify the language, presenter, location and the action you want the viewer to take.
02

Record what each reference shot does

Choose an accessible reference relevant to the use case. Note its timestamps, pictures, clearly understood words and purpose: posing a question, demonstrating use, explaining a detail or suggesting an action. Rework that sequence around your own product.

  • Note how the opening introduces the problem, when the product appears and where evidence is shown.
  • Separate what you can observe from your interpretation; leave unclear speech untranscribed.
  • Keep the reference URL and observation date. Do not present its footage, reviews or sales figures as your own.
03

Write picture, action and dialogue for every shot

Use one row per shot. Let the opening establish a recognisable situation, the demonstration explain the benefit and the close suggest one next step. Give important details their own close-up rather than asking words and pictures to explain different things at once.

  • Describe the framing, person’s action, product position and detail that must be visible.
  • Write full spoken lines and captions; attach evidence or a confirmation owner to each product claim.
  • List samples, props, location and owners, with an approximate duration for each shot.
04

Read it aloud and film a rough take

Read at a natural pace and use a phone to try the important shots. Shorten lines that do not fit. Change the angle or split a shot when the demonstration is unclear. Have someone fluent in the target language review the wording.

  • Try a vertical frame and leave room for the platform interface and captions.[2]
  • Verify variants, specifications, prices and offer dates; remove unsupported outcome claims.
  • Check permission to use people, images, footage and music. Consult the official Commercial Music Library for business soundtracks.[3]
05

Hand over one approved version with its assets

Mark the script’s version, date and approver. Match asset files to shot numbers and list unresolved questions separately. Record changes made during filming in the same plan so the editor does not receive conflicting versions.

  • Hand over the shot list, product facts, asset locations, presenter arrangements and filming date.
  • Check that the product, offer and link mentioned in the close match the planned publication.
  • Label alternative openings as separate versions and later record where and when each was published.

What to fix before filming

Resolve visible problems in the draft before they cost time on set.

Give Auroviagent the facts and filming requirements

Provide product information and an accessible reference video. Explain the buyer, language and filming conditions so Auroviagent can analyze useful ideas and prepare a script your team can shoot.

Analyze this reference video’s shots and storytelling order. Use my product information to write a filming script with pictures, actions, spoken lines and props for each shot. Ask me about unsupported product claims instead of inventing results or reviews.

You can ask for changes to a particular shot. Have the team approve the words and product facts before arranging filming and editing.

Common scripting questions

Can I start without a reference video?

Yes. Provide product facts, the target buyer and a use case. Write the problem, demonstration and next step, confirming any missing product details first.

How long should the video be?

Start with the time needed to explain one idea clearly. Read it aloud and try the actions before setting the duration; no single length guarantees success.

What should be checked before filming?

Verify the product variant, specifications, prices and offer dates, plus permission to use people, images, footage and music. Read the lines aloud and try key shots before handing the approved script and assets to the team.
